Bastar Cave Paintings

Numerous cave paintings can be found in the central regions of India, such
as the MP and Chattisgarh. These regions were places of settlement of
agrarian communities for thousands of years.
Some of the cave paintings are well known, such as the Bhimbetka cave
paintings

A few years ago, just 130 kms from Raipur in the jungles of Chamara village
of Bastar region, 10,000-year old cave paintings were found.
What’s interesting is that, the figures in the paintings eerily resemble UFOs
and aliens (greys). And even a cosmonaut in spacesuit.

Sites have paintings of humans and animals in everyday scenes. But some
unusual paintings, such as those depicting what appear to be kangaroos and
giraffes which are not native to the country, as well as human-fish hybrid
creatures are also found in Chattisgarh.

The paintings are done in natural colors. The figures are seen holding
weapon-like objects. There is also a painting of supposed UFO with three
legs and antennas.

Bastar Cave Paintings

The paintings depict large headed humanoid creatures similar to grey aliens.
Some are wearing spacesuits.

Bastar Cave Paintings

Oral traditions play an important role in any culture.
Personally I believe oral traditions help a lot in providing historical
information than ‘evidence’ based studies, cause evidences can often be
misleading.
The local people too have stories passed from generations

Bastar Cave Paintings

According to local oral traditions, THERE WERE A GROUP OF PEOPLE CALLED
THE ROHELLAS, OR THE ‘LITTLE ONES’, WHO USED TO DESCEND FROM
SKIES AND TAKE 1 OR 2 PEOPLE FROM THE TRIBES. THE PEOPLE QHO WERE
TAKEN AWAY NEVER RETURNED .
These stories are well known in local tribes

The stories of the ‘rohellas’ could prove that abductions have happened in
the past.

According to conventional archaeologists, the art reflects that ,
” ancient humans ‘may’ imagined that they were not alone in the universe”

Bastar Cave Paintings

Archaeologists call them as ‘shamanic’ images of humans, or human-animal
hybrids, and geometric forms. Images of figures with antlers, antennae, or
spiritual rays are common in shamanic art.

Bastar Cave Paintings

Till date, the cave paintings have remained a fascinating mystery.
Latest update is from 2015, that the dept of archaeology is seeking
assistance from ISRO and NASA for further research.
